FEBRUARY 7 - SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW AT THE PYRAMIDS OF GIZA
Ok, we went into this knowing it would be hokey, but who could refuse lasers and lights and a narration by the late and great Omar Sharif in this beautiful location? Yes, we did sign up for the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza.
But before our 6 p.m. pick-up at the hotel, we relaxed and had a lovely meal at the hotel.
Definitely pricier than the archeological finds but that's to be expected when you're dealing with any type of show like this with lights and lasers.
Quite honestly, I couldn't follow the narrated story, but who cares? The night was gorgeous. Our A&K representative got us tickets with front row seats and, although the guy who took our photos did an unbelievably terrible job with Michael's camera, we still had a great time. (The photos were very cute - lots of poses that look like we're holding up the Sphinx, pointing to the cap of the pyramid and holding one in the palm of our hand - but, like I said, none of them were very good.)
I was able to capture the planet Venus on Michael's phone as it was passing over the cap of the pyramid.
But, we were excited because the following day we would start the official tour with A&K and would get to meet our fellow traveling companions.
